Great tough coffeemaker
I got my first Bunn machine as a premium. The town we lived in at the time had the worst tasting water EVER. We started getting bottled water delivered and with the water machine they gave us the Bunn coffee maker. It really made great coffee, just like the kind at restaurants. When I moved back home briefly, my mother glommed it.

Since I am only a little worse than Leroy Jethro Gibbs about having a decent cup, I was on a quest for years after that. Tried almost every household maker out there. They either died an early death or the coffee tasted like plastic or both. One had a unique carafe we couldn't replace (broke it, of course)--and lousy coffee to boot. Some were cheapos, some not, including a beautiful yellow Cuisinart that got zapped in an electrical storm. So I gave up and shelled out (they ain't cheap) and I never regretted it. Anything that can stand up to hubby and I day after day has got to be TOUGH and they are.

We really like this coffee maker and use it a lot in our church kitchen. Easy to use and very dependable.

Best Coffee Maker
We are a Catholic church office and we drink a good deal of coffee, mostly decaf, but a few of us drink the high test. We burned through Mr. Coffee type cofee makes in a few months each time. This is the best investment we ever made: the water is always hot and ready--the coffee is delicious--the warmers keep the coffee nice and hot and it makes a full pot of 12 cups in no time at all. Just be careful of the decanters--you can eaasily shatter one if you hit it against a counter top the wrong way. Get a few back up decanters or invest in the ones with the metal bottoms! This is an all around top notch serious coffee-lovers' coffee maker. If you have a lot of coffee drinkers on your staff and you appreciate good coffee, this is an investment worth making and will save you a lot of replacements of cheaper machines that will not last or don't give you a really hot cup of coffee.

Note: Does not include carafes
The coffee maker is great!! You need to know it does not include the carafes, it does come with some coffee filters to get you started. The only problem I had was I received free shipping on the coffee maker but was charged seperate shipping on the 2 carafes and 1000 coffee filters. The shipping charges on the filters were almost more than the cost of the filters, so watch it.

Finally a Good Coffee Maker!
After many different models and many different failures we went commercial!!! I am perfectly happy with this coffee maker..yes, it's BIG and it takes up room...but if you're big coffee drinkers like us...this is the answer!! The only real drawback to Bunn is that there is no Automatic Shut off, so if you leave the pots on the burners and the coffee gets down low enough, your coffee WILL Burn and you WILL be stuck cleaning out the pot...it will also burn any surface you set it on and you must be careful not to put cold water in that hot Decanter. So there are some drawbacks to commercial brewing, I'm surprised Bunn has not addressed this hazzard. In case, I am happy with it, the ease of making coffee and having two pots...Decaf if you like along with the regular. : )

PerfectCoffee
This is the perfect coffee maker for the perfect price. We had a very old Bunn Pour-o-matic which was about 20 years old and finally becoming less efficient, so we replaced it with this model and we couldn't be happier. If we get only 10 or 15 years out of it we'll still be thrilled!

needs a better pouring coffee pot....
I purchased this product after years of saying my next coffee maker will be a bunn versus another cheap Mr. Coffee or Black and Decker. Yes this makes decent coffee, to be honest I don't notice a huge difference in taste but it is slightly better. My biggest complaint and yes it is a big one is that, when pouring a cup of coffee it pours coffee all over the counter worse than my last cheap coffee maker. I can not stand how much of a mess it makes when pouring coffee...I now pour my cup over the sink so that all the coffee that pours out (and it is a ton) goes into the sink. I don't know if I have a defective coffee pot or not. I feel that for a product that costs this much it should have been made much better, I really expected more for my money. On the plus side it does brew a decent pot of coffee in under 3 minutes. My other big complaint is that the filters are really hard to find, actually I have yet to find them and will need to order some online, which I think is a tad inconvenient to have to order coffee filters (this issue did not effect my rating of the product, it is just a minor annoyance). I have checked all the stores in my local area that sell bunn coffee makers and nobody ever has the filters.

BUNN Coffee Maker
I own a bed and breakfast in Wisconsin and used a BUNN in my business. Because of it's fast brewig time it is a great coffee maker. I make coffee three to four times a day for my guest so I put a lot of use on my Bunn. I had an old Bunn that I brought with me when I first opened the Inn and It lasted 8 years before I had to replace it with the Bunn NHBX.

My purchase was very satisfactory and I was pleased with the promptness with which I received it. I have used it now for several weeks and I'm completely satisfied with it. It is the best coffee maker I have had.

Bunn's the Best!
After purchasing cheap coffee makers for years, and it seems like I was buying a new one every other year, because they don't brew the coffee at the correct temperature; the warming plates fade and you discover your second cup tastes worse than the first, I invested in this BUNN model. It is the best! A full pot of coffee takes all of 3 minutes to brew; the heating elements keeps the coffee just right. Sure, it's always on, but built-in safety devices allow the owner to turn the system off if you plan on leaving your home for more than one day. I highly recommend trying the BUNN system - if you consider yourself a coffee afficionado, you need to try it. Once you've tried it, you'll be converted as well.

OK for what it's made for
I read many good reviews for this coffee maker, but one thing that kept coming up is that it made weak coffee, we bought the BTX-B and we too found it made weak coffee. It is fast, but maybe it's too fast, the coffee doesn't really have time to brew, we experimented with the strength and found it takes almost two times the coffee we used in our old coffee maker (a cheap Mr. Coffee). I think if this is used in an office or a household that drinks coffee all day, this may be the machine for you. But for the morning coffee drinker, the heater is on 24/7 and uses a lot of power and it uses twice as much coffee, an expensive appliance to own.

Don't waste your money buying any other coffee maker. This one is the best!! Besides being super duper fast at
brewing, it also keeps coffee hot for 12 hrs in the carafe and still has the fresh brew taste. Awesome Product.

The Bunn does not have the quality control in their products anymore.

I guess they have to make things cheaper so some people will buy.

The carafe does not keep coffee as warm as it should and the water in the well does not get hot enough to really brew the coffee. I am disappointed in this product. This is my fourth and last Bunn

Love my Bunn
This is a great coffee pot. The thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot for hours. I wish the capacity was bigger but I did by a 10 cup and that is what I got.

A continuing tradition of excellence
I bought this brewer to replace the Bunn I already had. After about 20 years of daily use it had finally given up.

As you can imagine I had very high expectations.

This pot surpassed even my expectations. I like everything about this new pot. The Black and Stainless styling complements my other kitchen accessories and is very easy to clean. One of the things I was especially interested in a new pot was the thermal carafe. Not only does it save on electricity, it also preserves the drinkability of the coffee. The carafe is very high quality and will keep coffee drinkably warm for 3 hours or more. As others have said, the 3 minute brew cycle is one of the fastest available in a home coffee maker. I believe, if it were made any faster, it would affect the quality of the coffee. I do recommend using filters designed for Bunn Home coffee makers as they are a little larger than the ones made for other home coffee makers and will ensure that you don't have grounds in with the coffee.

If I live long enough to need another coffee maker, it will be a Bunn.
