Bodum C-Mill Blade Grinder Black - Bodum 5679-01US
Amazon.com Review:
Regular coffee drinkers who are impatient to get their fix will delight in leaving the sleek, Scandinavian-designed C-Mill coffee grinder out on their countertop. Not just for good looks, the slanted grinding bowl actually has a purpose: it rotates the coffee beans for a more even grind. The stainless-steel bowl and blade can grind a maximum of 45 grams of coffee beans at a time. To operate, simply snap on the lid and depress the red button on top to grind. And, in case the C-Mill does get stored in a cabinet, the cord can be neatly tucked away in its base. The bottom pulls out to wind the cord within the bottom of the coffee grinder and then pops back in for storage. --Cristina Vaamonde

Broken
The blade broke off this unit after less than two years of light use. Inspection of the flimsy plastic that attaches the blade to the motor shaft reveal that breakage is basically inevitable. This is a very poor design.

Get the Krups if you want a competent grinder
The Bodum is a poorly designed coffee grinder. The lip that extends from the lid into the body is far too short: it is impossible to open the grinder without spilling grounds on the counter. The button is a flimsy plastic that sometimes catches on its tracks, feeling like it's going to break if you push it. The cord winding base is also quite flimsy, easily popping out when you're trying to place it on a surface. Overall, the whole thing is an embarrassing exercise in industrial design. Get the Krups: it's the same or less money, is a simple pleasure to use and clean, and will last for many years. This Bodum should be placed in the landfill directly from the factory to prevent emotional anguish. Krups 203-42 Fast Touch Coffee Grinder, Black

Terrible
I bought this coffee grinder from Whole Foods and had it for about 2 years. It started to making this crackle/pop noise. Then one day it just died. The blade appeared to be broken off. I ran out and bought another one because I needed coffee immediately. The second one I bought lasted just under 6 months. And did the same exact thing. And is now useless. I didn't think I would need to save the receipt so I can't bring it back.
I've also had similar experiences as others.
*I have to shake the maker to get a consistent grind
*It only grinds enough for 8 cups
*The tip comes off too easily. I've had many spills
*The small plastic piece that holds the blade cracked making the entire thing useless.
I would never buy this one again.

Terrible grinder
It works, but barely. Doesn't grind well. Has an unusually short cord that requires unplugging to empty every time. I am going to replace this with a Krups which I've owned in the past and always worked well.

4 years, twice a day, still runs great!
I purchased this grinder when I moved back to the US, as my old version was 220V, and wouldn't work here. We are heavy coffee drinkers, and this grinder just works great for us. Shorter grind times give coarser grinds for the french press, long grind time for a fine grind for the espresso machine. The best feature of this grinder, is it's small space saving design. It also seems a tad bit quieter than other grinders that I've used.
